[attr="class","colsb"]The Rules
[attr="class","colst"]every place has rules and yes they are probably things you have heard before. we still ask that you read them and live by them while you are here. we will try and keep this as painless as possible!
- one. proboards requires that all members be at least 13. we are asking that all members be at least 16.
- two. proboards is rated PG-13, please use that as a guideline for your writing. should you absolutely need to write out something beyond that, contact staff on the group discord.
- three. please register as the character, so first name, nickname, something like that. you can change the display name to the first and last name once accepted.
- four. you do not have to have watched the show or read the books to join! though we do recommend no canon characters if you have not.
- five. once you have reserved a canon character, or started an application for an original character, you will have three days to get the application finished for review.
- six. you can reserve up to two characters or faces at a time. we are a one account per character site. so please register a new account for each character.
- seven. please do not post anywhere other than the open forum and the application area until you are accepted! and once you are accepted, hit up the claims first then you can do plots or post away.
- eight. as far as posting goes, there is no word count, just try and give your partner something to go off of. no posts of you just sitting there waiting for someone to notice you brooding into your coffee for hours at a time.
- nine. when writing, remember that you can only think and act for your own character. you can not assign roles to other people's characters without their permission, and just because you know something doesn't mean your character does.
- ten. no matter how amazing your character is, you do not always win, you do not always hit your target and you are not invincible. likewise, no character is so bad at things as to always need to be rescued, always fail and never hit a target. please be realistic and play your character's strengths and their weaknesses.
- eleven. please remember that there is a difference between in character and out of character. just because the character is a jerk, or you dislike them, doesn't meant the player is also a jerk and disliked. which also means if you play a jerk and people treat them like a jerk, that's just how it goes. no one has to see past the walls into your heart of gold. sometimes that's just too much work in game.
- twelve. sometimes the out of character is out of hand, that's when you contact staff. we expect everyone on this site to be polite and respectful. your personal beliefs aside, we don't condone bullying or hatred of anyone.
- thirteen. have fun! that's why we are here! if it ever gets in the way of real life, then just drop us a line in the activity area. we will understand and miss you terribly. any problems or questions you know who to call!
